Reggio Calabria (SS 106 Jonica)

Reggio Calabria

was one of the first Greek colonies founded in southern Italy in the mid-eighth century BC. (around 730 BC), it is considered one of the oldest cities in Europe.

Despite its three-thousand-year history, it has a modern urban layout, resulting from the reconstruction carried out in the aftermath of the catastrophic seismic events of 28 December 1908, which destroyed much of the town.

The National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria (MArRC), 

or National Museum of Magna Graecia

It exhibits one of the most remarkable collections of artifacts from Magna Graecia.
